FULL TIME POSITION (WINNIPEG OFFICE)

The Receptionist to be responsible for greeting clients and visitors to our office. You will oversee giving clients directions to various parts of the office, contacting employees regarding visitors, answering phones and taking messages, and sorting and distributing mail. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as competency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Prior experience as a receptionist is also helpful.

DUTIES:

  •  Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Have an organized system for clients participating in workshops
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
  • Communicate with the Executive Director.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Current record check with vulnerable sector check
  • Current Child Abuse Registry Check
